Questions
Is the Iristick.G2 still available?
Yes, while stock lasts. The G2 is no longer made, and we sell the remaining units to teams that already run on it. For a new rollout, choose the Iristick.G3.
What's in the box?
The Iristick.G2 package includes the smart glasses, a pocket unit (the battery pack, with an Android or iOS connector), a coax cable, an earpiece, a charger and a safety case. The insert frame for prescription lenses is not included by default, but you can request it with your order.
How do I set up the Iristick.G2?
Connect the smart glasses to the pocket unit with the coax cable, then connect the pocket unit to your phone. Pocket units come with a USB-C connector for Android, or a USB-C or Lightning connector for iPhone, so order the one that matches your phone. The phone does the processing and runs the apps.
How does charging work?
Charge the pocket unit with the included charger. A full charge takes about 1.5 hours and lasts more than 5 hours of use. The battery is hot-swappable, so with a second pocket unit you can keep working through a full shift.
Why is it cabled?
The cable lets your phone do the processing, which keeps the glasses light and gives you longer battery life. It also keeps heat, weight and radiation away from your head.
Is there a left-eye version?
No. The display sits in front of the right eye. It adjusts on three axes so each wearer can position it comfortably, but there is no left-eye version. If your team needs a left-eye display, look at the Iristick.G3.
What if I'm wearing prescription glasses?
The Iristick.G2 works with an insert frame that holds your own prescription lenses. The frame is not included by default, so ask for it when you order. It comes as an empty frame, so take it to your optician to have your lenses fitted, then fit it into the glasses. Each wearer keeps a personal insert while the same pair of glasses stays shareable across the team.
Does it work with PPE?
Yes. The Iristick.G2 is certified safety eyewear (EN 166S and ANSI Z87), so it replaces your safety glasses and works alongside a helmet, hearing protection and other PPE.
